Technical Purchase Manager/ Asst Manager-Strategic Sourcing

Job Responsibility

• Developing new suppliers and evaluating existing vendors to meet company goals

• Collect and analyze data on Raw Materials’ pricing trends to ensure the company is making the best decisions

• Working closely with R&D to understand the technical parameters of RMs required for new development

• Responsible for identifying cost improvement projects, strategic sourcing projects, and cost savings through alternate Raw material sourcing

• Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications

• Regular reporting to the Management on procurement timeframes and spends

• Working to improve inventory and purchasing systems and processes

• Must have a strategic outlook to continuously reduce material cost, make decisions based on market situation and information and maintain a seamless supply.

Key Skills

• Additional certification/degree related to Purchasing, Material Management, or Supply Chain Management desirable

• Minimum experience of 3 years in Chemical Procurement

• Experience in Chemical Industry is desirable

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills

• Strong planning and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently

• Able to travel to meet with suppliers
