Molygraph Lubricants Celebrates World Environment Day with Commitment to Sustainability

[Mumbai, India - 05.06.2024] – Molygraph Lubricants, a leader in the innovation, formulation, and manufacturer of super specialty lubricants, proudly celebrates ‘World Environment Day’ by reaffirming its commitment to environmental management and sustainable practices. This year's theme, "Ecosystem Restoration," resonates deeply with their mission to create a greener and more sustainable future.

They have recently installed new solar panels at their manufacturing plant. With the addition of a 100 KW system to their existing 48 KW setup, they are able to generate a total of 148 KW of clean, renewable energy. This initiative contributes to 30% energy savings, significantly reducing the carbon footprint.

Molygraph has actively participated in increasing the greenery within the plant premises. Employees enthusiastically planted trees, contributing to local biodiversity and improving air quality. In addition to tree planting, employees took the initiative to clean the surroundings of the manufacturing facility, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment.

They hand over hazardous waste to Common Hazardous Waste Transportation, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (CHWTSDF) for safe and responsible disposal. Also, they promote recycling by reusing cleaned MS drums in the in-house production processes and have implemented measures to reduce paper consumption by double-sided printing.

The company strictly follows the rule of ‘No plastic bottles’ on the premises. Also, they have taken significant steps to reduce domestic water consumption at the plant by installing self-closing water push taps. Additionally, as a part of their ongoing efforts to reduce energy consumption, they have replaced high-voltage tube lights with energy-efficient LED lighting.

An interesting activity was organized named 'Best from Waste,' where employees were encouraged to create something useful out of waste materials. This activity not only highlighted the importance of recycling but also showcased the creativity and commitment of the team towards sustainable practices.
